Who We Are.
ABOUT BLVD
We are an intercultural community learning to follow Jesus, living as His ambassadors, for His glory.
THE BLVD STORY
In 2016, Forest Hill Church launched a new campus (FHC SB) in the South Boulevard area of Charlotte. The goal was to love and serve the community, especially as the Latino immigrant population was growing quickly. Unlike most satellite campuses of large churches, Forest Hill SB was given the freedom to make changes in order to serve a diverse, bilingual community. Today, with Forest Hill’s support and blessing, that campus has become Boulevard Church (BLVD).
In 2 Corinthians 5, Paul teaches that through Jesus, God makes a way for broken people to be reconciled to God and each other. God is able to make one new people out of impossibly divided groups. BLVD Church is a testimony of God’s power to unite people of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and languages together as one body.
We believe God has a purpose for our life together: to seek God together, love one another in action, and work together to share Jesus’ great love with a hurting, divided world.
MINISTRY LEADERS
BLVD Church is led and cared for by people who are part of the life of our church. From our ministry leaders and deacons to our pastoral team, leadership is shared by people serving together for the good of the church and its mission.
BLVD is part of a movement called Ascent, which has supported us since the earliest stages of church planting.
